Free Introductory Hawaiian Language Classes

The Aloha Festival started six classes, last one October 15. Hui ‘Ōlelo Hawai’ian Language Classes and Study Groups. To sign up or learn more about the classes contact Leilani Dong

 Classes for 2020 are set to run January-May, and August-October. We will continue to meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM, but the location will change to the Westside Mutli-Generational Center in Tempe: 715 W 5th St. Tempe, AZ 85281

 11/12-17/2019 AHCC Convention in Maui. The Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs is holding its annual convention in Maui this year.

Sandwich Isle Ukulele Band has resumed their Fall schedule on Wednesday evenings at Floridino’s Pizza & Pasta Restaurant, 590 N Alma School Rd, Chandler, AZ 85224 from 6-8 PM.

Nā Palapalai Concert Coming to the Chandler Center for the Arts

10/27/2019 Chandler Center for the Arts will be hosting Kuana Torres Kahele and his world renowned group for one performance at 2 PM. Tickets are now on sale at LKNH will promote a series of Hawai’ian Cultural Workshops sponsored by Kuana Torres Kahele, famed entertainer and recording artist from Nā Palapalai the week prior to the concert. Arizona Asian Festival Coming to the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall

11/16 & 17/2019 This year the Arizona Asian Festival will be on November 16 and 17, from 10 am to 5 pm at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall, 3939 N. 75th Street. Free admission and parking. See Events for details.

Papa Ola Lōkahi Workshops

12/7/2019  CANCELED @ The Phoenix Indian Visitor Center 10 AM to 3 PM. We are excited and grateful for the return of Papa Ola Lōkahi, their practitioners and all the resources they bring to us here on the continent.  Our members are excited and are looking forward to their Lei Hulu, Science behind Genealogy, Lomi and Lei Po’o Workshops.  Please RSVP so they will know the number of supplies they will need to purchase for our members.
